The La Costa Resort & Spa North Course was designed by Joe Lee & Dick Wilson and has been named a 'Silver Medal Resort" by Golf Magazine and the Robb Report has bestowed upon it the distinctive title of the "Best Spa in the World." The PGA tour starts here every year with the Mercedes Championships.
The fairways are expansive, but you will come across some areas with trees. The multitiered greens are, true, subtle, easy and great rollers.
The terrain is fairly flat and not too hard to walk if you want to leave the cart alone, but you must be accompanied by a caddy as per club rules. The putting surfaces are Bent Grass and the fairways are Bermuda Grass, all of which add up to a great day's golf.
