SILVER LAKES golf course is set next to the Talladega National Forest between Anniston and Gadsden. It is widely believed to be one the most scenic golf courses in the entire state of Alabama and is a part of the Robert Trent Jones golf trail.

Nine of the eighteen holes on this course are called "The Heartbreaker" and it is considered by many to be perhaps the most challenging nine holes on the entire RTJ trail. The second nine, called "The Backbreaker" provides players with a stunning view of the Appalachian foothills from all of its elevated tees.

There are ample sand traps and water hazards on both nine hole segments which often "test the mettle" of average and experienced golfers.
