| The Boeing Apache Longbow, a military attack helicopter is built right across the street from the Golf Club course, so the owners decided to honor the chopper and its builders by naming the club after it. The Longbow Golf Club layout was designed by Ken Kavanaugh to be a very interesting blend of long and short holes that dance across some spectacular desert scenery of gently rolling scrub land. Kavanaugh made excellent use of the various natural washes that run through the course, incorporating them with sheer aplomb. The fairways are firm and easy, and many of the putting surfaces are left wide open at the front, in order to empower golfers to run up their approach shots. It's a beautiful course that is made even better by the fact that it pays its respects to our fighting men and women. Get Quote |
