| It is hard to think of another golf club in the Phoenix - Scottsdale area that presents so much enjoyment to the dilettante and the accomplished Golf Professional. This desert course is challenging but not difficult to play. The course is grass covered throughout and the putting surfaces are large, mildly bunkered and have a degree of slope. The fairways are open and wide, the front nine to a greater degree than the back, which is quite a bit more on the narrow side. The signature hole has to be 8, a 576-yard, par 5, which has an extremely long dogleg right fairway. Water hazards come into play on three holes.
