The Westin Mission Hills Resort Dye Course was designed by Pete Dye and inaugurated in 1987. The greens are Tifdwarf Grass and the fairways are Bermuda Grass.

The fairways are open and easy to play, and the greens are large and slightly undulating with a few being turtle backed. The back nine is open, with a fair amount of mounding and sand bunkers to make your shots as entertaining as they could possibly be, while the front nine is tree-lined, generally broad and open, and plays through a wide variety of gorgeous natural desert terrain.

Weekend golfers will have the best shot at conquering the course's holes 1, 6, 10, 13, and 18. The signature hole on this course is 14, a 267-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to the green.
