Desert Willow Golf Resort Mountain View Course

The Desert Willow Golf Resort Mountain View Course was designed by Michael Hurdzan & John Cook and inaugurated in 1997. The greens are Tifdwarf Grass and the fairways are Winter Rye.

Recreational golfers will have the course's holes 1, 8, 10, 14, and 17. The course is truly an entertaining one, as the greens are gently sloped, fast, hard and oversized, and feature mounding around them. Ponds come into play several times on the course.

The front nine is quite long from the tees and fairly forgiving. Some of the fairways are lined with trees or desert scrub brush areas, but most fairways are quite wide, broad and open. The signature hole on this course is 8, a 407-yard, par 5, featuring a sizeable set of bunkers that run along the entire right side of the fairway.
