| The Wachesaw Plantation East course was designed by Clyde Johnston and inaugurated in 1996. The greens are Bent Grass and the fairways are Bermuda Grass. This course has wide-open fairways, and the greens are hard, fast, oversized and fairly flat. There are a significant number of water hazards on this course that are not exactly easy to see from various parts of the course and thus are marked by black and yellow flags, and nearly every green is surrounded by a bunker or two. There are seventeen ponds located throughout the course, so every hole presents its own unique challenge. This course was designed to have twentyfive-foot elevation changes, gigantic trees, sand and grass bunkers, and a lot of rough spread all the way around all the holes.
