Honors: Rated 4 Stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" in 2006
The Heather Glen Golf Links course was designed by Willard Byrd and inaugurated in 1987. The greens and the fairways are Bermuda Grass.

This course has tree-lined fairways and various water hazards such as ponds, streams, creeks, canals and lakes coming into play on ten out of the eighteen holes. The course is long, forgiving and has fast, hard, flat and oversized putting surfaces but you have to keep an eye out for an occasional uneven lie.

The prevailing wind can also create some interesting conditions at certain times. The signature hole on this course is 12, a 303-yard, par 3, which features sand in play all the way to the green which is undulating, a bit turtle backed but hard, fast, subtle and subject to extremely true putting.
