The Myrtlewood Golf Club offers two eighteen hole courses, the Palmetto being the other one, and both of them are set adjacent to the spectacular Intracoastal Waterway. The Pinehills Course was designed by George Cobb and inaugurated in 1972.

The greens are Bent Grass and the fairways are Bermuda Grass. The course is level, but the fairways have some gentle, mild mounds that can sometimes cause uneven lies.

There are also a few pot bunkers and sizeable trees that can change the angle of your shots. The greens are, hard, fast, true, oversized and undulating. There are some water hazards that are difficult to spot, thus are marked by checkered flags. The back nine is generally more entertaining than the front with sand bunkers in the fairways and at strategic spots of the doglegs.
