| The Doral Golf Resort & Spa White Course was designed by Greg Norman, and inaugurated in 2000. The tiered fairways are protected by a number of bunkers and water hazards which play an significant role in the overall playability of the course. The greens are generally gently sloped, fast, hard and oversized, and feature mounding around them although you should keep in mind that some are elevated, tiered and multitiered. The slightly contoured greens average about 8,700 square feet in size, and are cut at a maximum height of 1/8 of an inch, which can make them absolutely lighting quick. There are out-of-bound stakes located on most holes. Ponds come into play several times on the course. |
