The Doral Golf Resort & Spa Silver Course was designed by Bruce Devlin, Jerry Pate and Robert Von Hogge, and inaugurated in 1972. The back nine is open, with a fair amount of mounding and sand bunkers to make your shots as entertaining as they could possibly be, while the front nine is tree-lined, generally broad and open, and plays through a wide variety of gorgeous natural terrain.
This course is very flat, broad and open. The greens are quite generously oversized, hard and fast, and there are a large number of trees that come into play throughout the eighteen holes.
The signature hole on this course is 11, a 301-yard, par 4, which is bordered entirely by a freshwater lake.
