Panther's Run Golf Links
Panther's Run is the second addition to the Ocean Ridge Plantation golf complex. Panther's Run is designed to test golfer's skills, but not break their game. With generous landing areas and large greens, this course is designed in the traditional style using the natural terrain of the land.

Panther's Run was designed by Tim Cate. Cate worked with the Willard Byrd organization for seven years before going out on his own. Panther's Run is Cate's first solo project. Cate put his own design theories to work at Panther's Run which is reflected in the wide, open fairways with little mounding. Most courses today have fairways defined by mounding, but at Panther's Run, golfers will find many fairways lined with grassy, depressed areas or water.

The front nine of the Panther's Run course opened for play in the spring of 1994. The back nine opened October 1, 1995. With Panther's Run, Cate carved a beautiful golf course from the natural terrain of the land, moving little dirt. Environmentally sensitive areas have been preserved and made a part of the course.

The 18-hole layout features rolling, wooded land with rambling brooks and ponds. Water comes into play throughout the course, testing the golfer's ability to stay out of or hit over the water.
