THE SHOALS public golf courses are located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and are both public courses. They are called Fighting Joe and Schoolmaster These public courses, which were built in 2004, each have 36 holes comprised of 9-hole segments of varying yardages. This makes them ideal for golfers with any level of expertise.
Muscle Shoals sits in the northwest corner of Alabama at an elevation of 573 feet above sea level. Temperatures during the winter months can be in the 30-50 degree range but little if any snow falls. As a result, both these fine and scenic golf courses have a large number of playable days. The nearby town of Muscle Shoals has a long history as a music and recording center and an ambiance to fit.
It is highly visited by tourists and many are golfers.
