How do I know what destination is best for my group?
When selecting a destination, your travel dates will be a great decision tool. Different seasons will reflect many different rates for the same golf vacation package. Destinations in high season will always have golf and accommodations rates at a premium. Remember, your not just buying a golf package, your also paying for great weather.
What should we consider when selecting accommodations?
When deciding on the best accommodations for your package, consider 3 things:
Number of travelers, location and desired amenities.
We offer villas/condos, resort hotels, business traveler hotels and budget hotels. Different hotels offer different amenities. Resort hotels often have golf courses right on property. Villas and condos are great for larger groups that want to be in 1 unit. Our concierges can help you decide what's best for you.
How do we pick the right courses for our vacation?
Playing the right courses can make or break your golf vacation. Along with budget, style and quality play an important part in selecting courses for your trip. Our concierges have great knowledge of the courses in the destinations we offer. We cover style, designers, slope ratings, yardages and players handicaps when selecting courses for your trip.
What are the golf travel seasons during a year?
In general, there are 3 seasons of travel:
High Season (Jan-Apr)
Shoulder Season (Oct-Dec / May)
Low Season (Jun-Sep)
Some destinations have seasons opposite from listed above. Your concierge can help define specific break dates for each destination.
Does Go Vacations Golf offer airfare with golf packages?
Currently Go Vacations Golf does NOT offer airfare with packages. We have found that in the competitive airline industry, going direct to the airlines provides the best rates. We can offer advise as to which airports are the best to fly into at all of our destinations.
What is the flag rating system I see on Go Vacations Golf?
When browsing course and hotel pages on Go Vacations Golf.com, you will see a rating system of golf flags on each page. This system is designed to alert you to high end or popular hotels and golf courses. Four flags represents our premier properties, PGA Tour courses, high dollar courses and 4-5 star rated hotels. A property with a 1 flag rating does not mean it is a poor quality property. This refers to an economical price pointed course or a budgetary hotel for those planning a golf vacation on a strict budget.
Do courses allow 5-somes?
Most courses do NOT allow 5 players to occupy a single tee time. Players will be broken into 2 time slots as a 2-some and 3-some.
Can 3 people occupy a single hotel room?
Yes, but most hotels only offer 2 beds. A rollaway bed is available at most hotels, but usually at an additional charge.
